Better Some Than None by Blair Gaulton

Inspited by Shakespeare

Better Some Than None

Thou mayst thunderously complain;

what a cruel hand;

hast been dealt thy way;

I’faith tis truly better some than none

at thy disposal.

13th Night Opening Song by Blair Gaulton

A poem inspired by Shakespeare, I wrote a few years ago, just found it again today.

13th Night Opening Song

Mid-summer madness hath begun.

Singing feasting;

in the ravenous sun.

hath found someone.

Laughter’s wind;

flies happy sails.

Conversations ‘n’ sport;

on this most joyous of wild days.

No one shall complain;

about the waning of light.

I’faith reveling continueth o’er many a night.

My eyes heart ‘n’ soul;

would glow ‘n’ gleam;

to behold you again.

Perchance you do not believe.

I spake true;

I more than adore thee;

butterfly of my heart;

I love thee!

Lacking Flavour by Blair Gaulton

Inspired by last night’s Shakespeare Improv session. Thank you all for a fun inspiring ‘n’ enjoyable session.

Lacking Flavour
It doth seem mine favour;
lack knavery ‘n’ flavour;
to make thou merry?

Be Not Broken 3 by Blair Gaulton

Inspired by Shakespeare

Be Not Broken 3
I’faith pieces we may be;
verily, bend not thine knee.
Lower not thine brow;
fight on;
there will come a day;
when thou hast found a way;
to be happy!

Be Not Broken by Blair Gaulton

Inspired by Shakespeare

Be Not Broken
I’faith I wish; but be not thine treasure.
No words of mine can vanquish this;
tho’ my heart hath spoken.
Thou thinkst I be broken.
Nay, hurt I be;
verily, I live on.
Let pain’s gale bellow.
Back to the ocean with me.
This melancholy fellow;
wishing thou art by mine side;
abide with me a while.
Without you;
I’ll face down the gale
unfurl the sails
‘n’ sail away.

Mine Heart by Blair Gaulton

Inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

Mine Heart
With mine heart do I write;
gaining not thy favour;
nor thine sight.
I am weakening as day
bubbles into night.
I’faith I must not be;
nor see all;
as wrong nor right.
Thou art more than day and night.
I love thee!

Methinks by Blair Gaulton

Inspired from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Duke Orsino to Lady Olivia.

Methinks mine heart for Thee
is but an ignorant splotch;
defiling thy favour.
By my troth, Art mine words of love;
such a foul wind
driving thee from hence?

More Than Mere Words by Blair Gaulton

Inspired by Shakespeare.

More Than Mere Words
Do I not speak from mine heart;
or thinks thou I but play?
Verily, I love thee more
than mere words could ever say.
