Inspired by Quirkyshine: If Only by Blair Gaulton

A comment from Quirkyshine inspired me to write this poem. Her comment is the first sentence in the poem. To read her wonderful works please click here

If Only
If only we can bandage the heart.
It would be great if we could
or at least our words
could soothe ‘n’ soften the pain
‘n’ burns
as our emotions churn
‘n’ we yearn for our lost love.
May our words help
restore our inner peace.
Inspite of our loss.
We are not alone.

Also Inspired by Kalabalu: Pain ‘n’ More by Blair Gaulton

Again thanks to
Kalabalu for her conversation which inspired this poem. To read her beautiful works, please click on her name.

Pain ‘n’ More
Pain ‘n’ more;
ventures from shore to shore.
Always seeking to explore;
its range ‘n’ depth.
Driving us crazy with its breath.
We need to confuse it;
so it loses its step;
can no longer find its way;
then we have won this day 🙂

This poem is inspired by a conversation I had with Kalabalu. To read her beautiful works, please click on her name.

Sadness’ Flight
Sadness will fly away on a kite.
Many will be cheered ‘n’ uplifted;
by this sight;
in the bright dawn light.

Gliding
Gliding through the day

Inspired by a Conversation with Moonskittles: Turnip’s Turn by Blair Gaulton

Thank you to Moonskittles for inspiring this poem by her comments on Turnip’s Shot! To read her wonderful works
please click on her name.  🙂

Turnip’s Turn
The turnip would quip.
I was taken away;
without having a say.
It was an unexpected trip;
I almost flipped.
I saw some light.
Then a sharp cave,
and a nasty bite.
What a fright!
That was not right.
I’m going to go to court
and fight for my rights.

Building Love (in monorhymes) from Manan Unleashed: Opening A Poem Inspired by it by Blair Gaulton

A lucky stroke of inspiration While in a state of rumination Seeds of poetry and dissemination Falling in love with no illusion A chat with raindrops As silent as pindrops Love in between lines and stops Under the sky eavesdrops A riot of colours, beautiful rainbow Clouds disappearing fast and slow Eyes downcast, hearts aglow … Continue reading Building Love (in monorhymes)

via Building Love (in monorhymes) — Manan Unleashed

This beautiful poem inspired me. I’d like to thank Manan for the inspiration.

Opening
As you open your heart ‘n’ soul.
Go with the flow.
Don’t worry about the show
Be you and no one else;
anything else is disaster ‘n pretense.
Remember you are a treasure.
Your words and attitude are a pleasure.
Give yourself a chance;
you will inspire beyond measure.
Love is always there;
it never left you;
even if it appears to.
It returns in another guise.
That at first is a disguise;
then you realize;
it is time!

Living On
May all our pain refrain
from making us lame;
as our lives go on again.
May we smile and after a while
the sun shine;
as we walk off into the distance.
