In Memory of Ernest by Blair Gaulton

In Memory of Ernest
Ernest
You lived ‘n’ worked hard;
built ‘n’ fished;
never gave up;
never quit.
Witty, you could make people laugh.
You will be missed!
Rest in peace.

In Memory of Bernice by Blair Gaulton

Bernice, a dear family friend passed away yesterday. This poem is inspired by the many fond memories of being in her company over the years. This world has lost a treasure.

In Memory of Bernice
Your personality
expression humour ‘n’ stories
would lighten up the place
Upon seeing your lovely smiling face.
Generous intelligent caring loving and kind.
Your presence made every moment
 a special  time.
Cherished and loved by many
Rest in peace Bernice

In Memory of Ross Cork by Blair Gaulton

This poem is in memory of a good friend of mine Ross Cork who passed away in Auroville, India on My 19th. I had the good fortune of being involved with him in the Munich Writers Group in Munich Germany. We spent many hours together in discussion debate and laughter.

In Memory of Ross Cork
Your wisdom words wit
and insightful observations.
Profound yet simple explanations;
would show us another way
to see the world.
You would inspire thought writing
and conversation.
They are treasures of you;
that live on in our memories.
You are unforgettable
and will be sorely missed my friend.

In Memory of Aunt Alma 2

image

This poem is written in the memory of my great aunt alma who passed away last night. She was a wonderful woman who greatly inspired me through our conversations. She is irreplaceable.

In Memory of Aunt Alma 2
The world has lost a light;
that brightened my life.
Your wit and tales;
unleashed in me gales;
of laughter.
I enjoyed talking with you.
Hearing and learning about things;
you lived through.
You managed to find a way;
through your wisdom;
to make me smile.
You are a treasure.
You made the world for me;
a better place.
By being you.
You are loved and missed.
I see your smiling face.
it stays with me;
in my heart
I cherish all the times;
we had talking and laughing together.
Now and forever.

A Memory of Rain by Blair Gaulton

A Memory of Rain
When the rain falls.
I think of you;
your laugh,
your smile.
Walking side by side;
holding hands.
We did not care about getting wet
or anything else.
It was time well spent.
When you died;
all I could do is cry
in the rain.
Without you
it is no longer the same.

Respect by Blair Gaulton

Respect
By the side we stand
hand in hand;
holding each other up
this day has been quite rough.
Joined in sorrow.
We’ve seen enough.
The ceremony is through.
We’ve done what we had to do.
Now we will remember our friend
in our way too.

The Love of the Wind by Blair Gaulton

The Love of the Wind
‘Twas a rare day
on this wind swept land
everyone and everything stopped
even the wind
to pay their respect
to the lost
we all know the cost
of venturing out onto the sea
our souls are marked
with memories of the departed
we are all disheartened
the wind stirs anew
hugging us
telling us
you are not alone
I am with you too.

One Teacher by Blair Gaulton

One Teacher
You never spoke much
when you did
your words touched
deeply
it took us into your world
gave us understanding
you were never loud
demeaning
harsh or commanding
you showed us the way
calmly and attentively
for that I am greatful to this day.
I will miss you, your friendship and our chats.
Rest In Peace
