Inspired by Fargaregardsanna: Finding Time by Blair Gaulton

This poem is inspired by a wonderful painting done by Anna from Anna’s Art. To see the picture please click on her name.

I find this truly hard…

Finding time
It raises so many questions.
I am deeply torn.

A treasure;
to keep or share?

It would be good to share.
People could have more time
with those they treasure ‘n’ hold dear.

Would you go back in time
with it or keep a moment going on and on?

An opportunity to talk
‘n’ make peace;
to resolve things
with those who no longer live.
Would you suffer more or less?
Would you feel more at peace after talking one last time?

Maybe you would use it;
to help someone who is ill
to live until there is a cure?
but then they would suffer much more..

Or would you use it
for yourself;
to make cherished moments
last an eternity?

I am sorry I can write
no more
I am an ocean of tears.

Inspired by Annas Art Apple Blossom: The Wind and the Apple Blossom Tree by Blair Gaulton

This poem was inspired by Annas Art
Apple blossom. To see this beautiful picture please go to the link.

The Wind and the Apple Blossom Tree
We play celebrating
the lengthening of the day.
All living things;
reawaken from winter’s slumber.
As we dance together again.
You tickle me;
I blush colour
and flutter.
You whistle appreciatively;
as we laugh and dance happily.

Skating in the Archipelago
Skating on the ice;
dancing with the wind;
is nice;
as we swirl twirl and pirouette
in the sun.
Sometimes we also fish;
or play some games
Having so much fun;
on the ice with friends.
We go on enjoying each other’s
company, and the landscape
until the day ends.

Dance of the Blue Hearts
Blue Hearts;
sharing their songs;
to release their sadness.
Realizing they are not alone.
Moved by feeling.
All dancing;
moving to erase the blues;
to lift their spirits
to soar and be happy too.

Education’s Nourishment by Blair Gaulton

Inspired by Anna’s Art(fargaregardsanna) picture of a an Ash/Ask Tree

Education’s Nourishment
We get education’s nourishment;
when we ask;
because we learn something;
we did not know before.
Starting out like a sapling;
we grow into a big beautiful tree;
because of the things;
that make us curious;
or we want to understand;
help us to see, grow, and develop
like that beautiful tree.

Leaving by Blair Gaulton

This poem has been inspired by a painting done by Anna called What Do You See. To see the painting please go to the link.

As I walked from my coastline.
I snatched as many views;
to store in my heart of my home.
Soaking in the winds’ embrace;
and the ocean’s salty kisses;
I boarded wrenched inside.
This place I love I must leave;
for unknown places and shores.
I will return
for your stories, songs and wisdom
are a part of me.
It will keep me company;
as I venture out;
to do what I must do.
As countless thousands;
have done before me too.
Hope to do well and to return soon.

Time’s Holiday Revolution
Time decides;
enough! I am going away;
on a holiday.
Let them figure things out without me;
at least I can be happy.

The Legend of the Astronaut Scorpion by Blair Gaulton

A Poem inspired by Anna’s painting of the astronaut scorpion

The Legend of the Astronaut Scorpion
There was a scorpion;
who had explored all of the oceans and seas.
He had been told; he had seen all he could see.
His thirst for adventure was not to be quenched;
He heard about somewhere else;
where scorpions had never been.
So he decided to train to be an astronaut; and to find a way to get there.
After much preparation, hard work and concentration.
He got approved and hitched a ride
to the International Space Station.
He got there and was asked to do a space walk;
not for a second did he balk.
Put on the Astronaut’s space suit made to fit him and went out for a walk in space.
Now he is the talk everywhere and all of earth knows his face
A scorpion’s place is not only on earth but in space!
