New Bread by Blair Gaulton

New Bread
Fog sogged head;
he went to bed;
dreamed about a new kind of bread.
After waking up:
went to the shed;
made ‘n’ baked it.
Cannot keep it in the store;
sells out more ‘n’ more.
Making him happier than before.

Umbrella by Blair Gaulton

Umbrella complains about the lack of rain;
When it rains;
about its complexion being smeared.
when it is sunny;
it wants fresh air.

Not the Way by Blair Gaulton

Not the Way
Define’s mine;
limits expression ‘n’ connection;
feels like repression;
not suggestion.
Leads to objection ‘n’ rejection.
