At the Stroke of Midnight
At the stroke of midnight;
I realized;
my place was by your side.
I was somewhere;
nowhere near;
enough to you.
Too far away;
I can say;
I will never make that mistake again.
I missed you profoundly;
making me sad.
A lot of people;
acting happy ‘n’ glad.
This emptiness;
searing me inside.
I will be with you the next time;
both of us laughing;
with big smiles.
Walking ‘n’ dancing
through the kilometers ‘n’ miles.
Being happy ‘n’ in good cheer;
because we’ll be together.
I hope to convince you;
to be with me too.
