As a diabetic, my blood sugar values are an important indicator on how I am managing my diabetes and my lifestyle. One thing you get used to; is checking your blood sugar when you feel something is not right. Essentially, you are trying to find out if it is your blood sugar level that is causing you to feel a particular way.  For me, I can say it is true. When it is low, I feel sad, sick and devoid of energy. I am also incredibly slow.  If it is high, it is like being drunk along with blurry vision. It makes me tired. The effects vary from person to person and do change over time. It is important that you do not ignore these signals. Let other people know whom you trust about it, so they can help you, if necessary. Consulting regularly with a endocrinologist is also helpful. Being a diabetic means you have to be a little more careful about things.
 If you are a diabetic, I would recommend that you find some sort of physical activity that you enjoy doing and do it a couple of times a week if possible. In the long run it gives you better blood sugar values and will improve your quality of life. Diabetes will not stop you from living a long life or enjoying a wonderful Christmas dinner with friends and family.
